President
Rebecca is a retired newspaper editor who has loved reading and going to libraries since she was a little girl. She has worked with The Friends of La Palma Library since 2012.

Nicole D
Vice President
Nicole works in the automotive industry and is the director of the tutoring center at La Palma Branch Library. She enjoys traveling and working with children.

Bertha G
Secretary
Bertha just relocated back to La Palma from Fallbrook in the North part of San Diego County. In Fallbrook, she was an active volunteer for the “Bottom Shelf”, the used book store at the Library. She volunteered there for many years. Her hobbies include reading, doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing “Hand and Foot”, and traveling. Dear to her heart also, is spending time with her family. She looks forward to being part of the volunteer group at the La Palma Library and making new friends.

Anne Tatsuta is a retired elementary school teacher and has been a resident of La Palma since 1967. She has been volunteering at the La Palma library for over 20 years.

Bert has been a resident of La Palma for 27 years. He is retired from the insurance industry and has two grandkids who he loves to visit all of the time.
Our Philosophy

The Friends of La Palma Library is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation organized to:
Maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries;
Focus public attention on library services, facilities and needs;
Stimulate gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections and bequests.
Our Purpose

Stock and maintain the Friends Bookstore, which is the primary source of income to the Friends.
Subsidize the library's foreign language book selection.
Fund the Summer Reading Program.
Finance the various shows available to library patrons.
Generate community awareness of the library and its services.
